Mr.Chaib receives a delegation from the Central American Parliament

Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Sofiane Chaib, welcomed a delegation from the Central American Parliament (Parlacen) at the ministry’s headquarters. The delegation, led by Engels Martin Pineda Garcia, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Migration Committee, is on an official visit to Algeria.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Parlacen, as well as ways to strengthen parliamentary relations and joint efforts with member states of this regional parliamentary body, elevating them to reflect the historical ties between Algeria and Latin American countries, grounded in respect for state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and support for peoples’ right to self-determination.

Attended by Mohamed Khouane, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and the National Community Abroad, the meeting also explored opportunities for cooperation with countries in the region and strategies to further enhance these ties.
