An important scientific discovery has been made by a group of researchers at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center led by the Algerian-American immunologist Dr. Taha Merghoub and Dr. Jedd Wolchok. The team has identified a new group of immunosuppressive cells easily detectable in the blood that considerably improve the work of checkpoint inhibitors and make immunotherapy more effective.
The Consulate General would like to congratulate Dr. Taha Merghoub on this achievement in the fight against cancer diseases and to wish him more success in his continuing noble efforts to bring hope to millions of cancer patients.
