The Algerian American Foundation for Culture, Education, Science and Technology (AAF-CEST),organizes with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Algeria in New York and in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Batna, 2019 Summer University from July 28 to August 3, 2019 at the University Mustapha Benboulaid-Batna 2.
This scientific forum will involve 19 fellow citizens, with acknowledged competence in areas relating to science and modern technologies abroad,who will be sharing knowledge and best practices with the 360 Algerian researchers and PhD students and 46 trainers participating in the event. Lecture-style presentations, discussions and workshops will be entertained in the fields of renewable energy, biology, biotechnology and health sciences, civil engineering and architecture.
A central mission of Summer University is to build bridges between the Algerian scientific community in Algeria and that established abroad to operate within a network of cooperative links and working towards shared objectives for the scientific emancipation and economic sustainable development of our country.
High officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as representatives of the Wilaya of Batna local authorities will be attending the closing ceremony of this event.
This laudable project, the 2nd of its kind, is part and parcel of the overall endeavor which looks to strengthen ties between members of the Algerian community abroad and their country of origin. It is intended that it will be perpetuated and expanded to other areas of Algeria in the upcoming editions.
