The first session of the music classes

 

In the presence of Ms.Sabria Boukadoum Consul General, Dr.Taha Merghoub President of Algerian American Scientist Association (AASA),the music instructor Mr.Yacine Boudjou, and Student’s Parents, The first session of the music classes was delivered at the Consulate General headquarters on Saturday 24th, 2018.
Our young participants were so happy and enthusiastic to attend this event, which created a cheerful ambiance.

The Biography of Yacine Boudjou

Yacine Boudjou was born on August 4, 1971 in Algiers. He had a passion for music from a very young age. He continued to pursue his love for music, and in 1995, he graduated from the Technical Institute of Education in Bouzareah, Algiers, Algeria with a major in music. After college, he taught middle school and high school students in Bachdjarah, Algiers. He received recognition and multiple awards. In 2000, he was honored by the Ministry of National Education. In 2002, he received an award for the Sixth and Seventh Festival of Choral Education. He has performed for the Consulate General of Algeria on National Day November 1st, and on the Amazigh New Year. He has also performed at multiple venues including the Lincoln Center and Club Bonafide in New York. Currently, he teaches and plays traditional Algerian music in different settings and venues.
