Prevention against Covid-19: Opening of postal account to receive donations

ALGIERS- Algerie Poste has opened a current solidarity account for citizens, as part of the prevention and the fight against the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), said the institution Tuesday in a communiqué.

The account is intended to “receive donations and contributions from any natural or legal persons who would like to support national efforts to combat this pandemic,” the same source said, referring to “the mobilization of all human and material resources, for the success of this solidarity operation.”

Therefore, potential contributors are invited to pay their donations to the account entitled: COVID- 19- Algeria : number : 200 clé 12. The statement of Postal Identity of the account being : RIP: 007 99999 0000000200 91, detailing Algeria Post also informs that donations can be made by distance, from a CCP account using the “Edahabia” card and the same RIP (007 99999 0000000200 91) and this, through one of the channels that are the Automated Teller Machine (ATM), the “Baridi Mob” application or the “Baridi Web” website.

This operation can also be done at the post offices, by means of CCP (account to account) transfer, using the “Edahabia” electronic card and the SFPO1 single form, made out in the name of the CCP account: 200 key 12 (COVID-19), CCP (account to account) transfer using a postal cheque made out in the name of the CCP account: 200 key 12 (COVID-19), transfer by cheque, etc. bank or treasury or, exceptionally, by a cash payment, the source added.

While putting its website (www.poste.dz) at the service of citizens, Algeria Post informs of the “exemption from CCP taxes” of all transactions related to the payment of donations and invites all donors to use the electronic transfer channels available in order to “avoid the travel to post offices or transfer by cheque in order not to manipulate cash, except in cases of absolute necessity.”

This operation is meant to “reduce” the risks of spreading the virus, according to Algerie Poste.
