Algerians Slimane Moula and Djamel Sedjati victorious in Oregon

The two Algerian runners, Slimane Moula and Djamel Sedjati, will participate in the 800 meter final of the World Athletics Championships, scheduled for Sunday at 2 am, Algeria time, after their fully deserved victory in the semi-finals of their groups. It is a historical achievement for Sejdati and Moula who are trained by Amar BENIDA and Sid Ali SABOUR respectively.
Sedjati crossed the finish line first at 1 minute, 45.44 seconds; following in second and third place were France’s Gabriel Tual and Great Britain’s Daniel Rowden. Meanwhile, Moula won the third semifinal heat with a time of 1:44.89, with Canada’s Marco Arop and Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi in second and third place, respectively.
With their qualification and high potentials, the two athletes aspire for a place on the podium, and more for a gold medal. We wish them luck, victory and strength in achieving their goals.
