Homage to the plane crash victims of April 11, 2018 by our compatriot Professor Noureddine Melikechi.
The Consulate General of Algeria in New York would like to thank the eminent Algerian researcher Professor Noureddine Melikechi and his team for their outstanding study about traces of life and water in the Planet Mars. The research paper written in collaboration with his student researchers was published in the American Journal “Spectrochimica Acta” under the title “Simulated laser-induced breakdown spectra of graphite and synthetic shergottite glass under Martian conditions”. This valuable work was dedicated by our dear compatriot to pay tribute to the victims of the plane crash that occurred on April 11, 2018, in Boufarik (Algeria).
This patriotic act coincides with the celebration, on July 5th, of the 56th anniversary of Algeria’s Independence Day and aims to honor these victims as Martyrs of duty like all Algerians who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our beloved country.
