After leading a conference at the University of Portland, Mr. Ahmed Bedjaoui was received at the Consulate General with the presence of members of our community. In his brief speech, Mr. Consul General welcomed his guest and recalled the efforts undertaken by this eminent intellectual to promote Algerian culture and the Film-making industry.
Mr. Bedjaoui thanked everyone for the warm-hearted welcome.
He told some anecdotes about his long career and his passion and deep love for the cinema since childhood. He also gave a brief overview of the successful Algerian movie “the last queen was released in 2022.
This meeting provided an opportunity for the participants to express, during a vivid and interactive discussion, their ideas and concerns regarding Algerian cinema, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
