National Day Celebration

The Consulate General of Algeria in New York jointly with the Algerian American Association of Northern California “AAANC” celebrated the 63rd anniversary of the Outbreak of the Glorious Algerian Revolution in San Francisco on November 5th, 2017.
This very special event was commemorated in a patriotic and joyful atmosphere with the presence of Algerian families living in California.
The ceremony was opened by Ms Sabria BOUKADOUM, Consul General of Algeria in New York, who insisted on the importance of celebrating such important events of our national history to inspire the new generations and to remind them of the sacrifices made by our forebears.
The program of the ceremony included:
  • Historical documents’ exhibition.
  • Screening of a documentary movie about the Battle of Algiers.
  • Screening of “Kids of November” play, performed by Algerian Kids of San Francisco.
  • Musical show performed by the Algerian singer Fella Oudane.
This occasion was also the opportunity to honor the “AAANC”, for its long-standing  and remarkable efforts to serve the Algerian Community  of Northern California. Given its role as an active community association, the AAANC was awarded “the Best Algerian Association in the United States”.
In this regard, the Consul General, would like to express her heartfelt thanks to the members of Algerian community in California for their warm hospitality and active participation in this ceremony.
Our congratulations and best wishes are also extended, on this occasion, to all members of the Algerian community in the US.
Eternal glory to our Martyrs, peace and prosperity to our country.
