APS – 22 Juin 2020

CAIRO- The Arab League Secretary General announced Sunday the holding Monday of an extraordinary meeting, by videoconference, on the conflict in Libya.

Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, ambassador Hossam Zaki, said that the “League Secretariat received a request presented from Egypt to hold an extraordinary meeting, at the level of Foreign ministers, to examine the developments in the Libyan scene.”

Since the collapse of former leader Maamar al-Gueddafi by the end of 2011, Libya has been shaken by a political and security crisis with power conflicts and struggles.
