Ait Menguellet celebrates Africa Day with artists from all over the world

ALGIERS- The Algerian poet and singer, Lounis Ait Menguellet and his compatriot Sadek Bouzinou took part Monday evening, along with a group of artists from Africa and around the world, in a web-concert, on the sidelines of the Africa Day, celebrated every year on May 25.

With about a hundred artists, the singer of the Algerian song of Kabyle expression, Lounis Ait Menguellet and Sadek Bouzinou, founder of the group “Démocratoz” joined the movement “WAN” (Worldwide Afro Network), organizer of this virtual mega show, broadcast in primetime on several African TV channels.

Among the artists participating from their homes, recording studios or a park, the Tunisian humorist Samia Orosemane and her fellow countrymen musicians, Achraf Chergui and Hamza Matchima, the Moroccan showman Mehdi Nessouli, covering “Laâfou” by the Algerian Djamel Laroussi, and the Egyptian singer with a festive spirit, Hakim.
