On December 1, 2018, the Consulate General of Algeria in New York hosted, at its Headquarters, the meeting that the Minister of Housing, Urbanism and the City, Abdelwahid Temmar, and the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Mourad Zemali, had with members of our national community residing in the US.
This meeting covered the Public Promotional Housing program (LPP) and the creation of start-ups by young Algerians abroad, as provided by the National Agency for the Support of Youth Employment (ANSEJ) and the National Unemployment Insurance Fund (CNAC). Short films were projected in this respect before opening the debate.
In their remarks, the Ministers shared perspectives and set out further details underlying these endeavors. Participants showed great interest and raised wide-ranging queries allowing for a constructive and worthwhile debate.This occasion was also seized to hand over the LPP act of acquisition to the first beneficiary from this program amongst numerous subscribers living in the US.
At the end of this meeting, a Prize for Excellency “the Administration at the service of the Citizen” was awarded to the Ministers by representatives of our national community in the US, in recognition of their efforts for their overall welfare.
